Wow, I can't believe its been 3 years since my previous post. I wouldn't blame anyone who thought that this project was abandoned. But I just want to state that is NOT the case! I did take a long hiatus while I was busy with work/family/school obligations, but I am back! I have been working entirely in a "rough draft" mode. My rough drafts are fairly detailed, and comparable to the polish of my finished pages.. the main difference is that they are done with a pencil, not a brush. I'd been working in this manner from almost the beginning and converting them into finished art after every few draft pages. I decided to make a slight change to my workflow after talking to David McAdoo, (creator of the amazing Red Moon graphic novel. He told me that he did a rough draft of his whole book, before going back and doing the the final art. I am now going to follow suit and finish all the rough pages, before I do any more finished art pages. So far I am up to page 132 (out of approximately 165). In the meantime, I am going to start updating regularly with my rough pages to hopefully get some momentum building as I lead up to the ultimate completion of the book (hopefully for 2015: the ten year anniversary of the project!)
